Stedman Machine states that their patented VSI Tubular Rotor creates higher tip-speeds, which increases first pass yield, produces tighter particle size distribution and reduces recirculation loads. The rotor rotation is reversible, allowing wear on both sides of the tube, and rotating the indexing tube one-quarter turn quadruples the wear surfaces. The Tubular Rotor and Reversible Anvils are retrofittable to any brand VSI and it can handle raw feed sizes up to 5".
