Oil Sight Glasses Easily Monitor Health, Level of In-Service Oil

It takes the guesswork out of lubrication management.

With Xtract Oil Sight Glasses, you can easily monitor the health and level of your in-service oil – taking the guesswork out of lubrication management.

The Xtract line of oil sight glasses from Lubrication Engineers can be used for a variety of applications, including pumps, gearboxes, storage tanks and more.

In addition to our standard Oil Sight Glass, we have High Temperature and Large Volume models, as well as the Oil Sight Glass & Level Monitor, Oil Level Indicator, and 3-D BullsEye.

Suitable for most applications, the Xtract Oil Sight Glass enables immediate visual inspection of oil and allows any accumulated water to be drained using the spring-loaded drain valve.

The Xtract High Temperature Oil Sight Glass comes with heavy-walled Pyrex glass and Teflon end caps, making it suitable for use when the radiant heat from nearby equipment exceeds the temperatures that allow safe use of other oil sight glasses. It can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Xtract Large Volume Oil Sight Glass provides the extra storage necessary to hold a large amount of water until it can be drained between maintenance checks. It is recommended when high water accumulation is a problem that cannot be avoided, such as equipment with condensation problems or that requires high-pressure washdowns.

The Xtract Oil Sight Glass & Level Monitor is an all-in-one solution, allowing operators to manage oil level, inspect oil condition, and drain off water. It provides a highly visible 360-degree view of the oil and can be hooked up to a desiccant breather, making it a substantial upgrade from an old vented brass-and-glass sight gauge. Color decals are included to mark upper and lower limits.

The Xtract Oil Level Indicator is recommended for monitoring the oil level inside large tanks, gearboxes or reservoirs when water contamination is not a problem. Constructed of strong clear acrylic, it provides a 360-degree view of the lubricant. In addition, you can attach a desiccant breather to the oil level indicator, an option not possible with old-style gauges.

The Xtract 3-D BullsEye Sight Glass is used with another sight glass or alone on equipment where there is no water problem. Unless you are standing directly in front of them, old-fashioned sight glass plugs [show old style gauge] make it difficult to view the oil level. LE’s 3-D BullsEye is a one-piece cylinder made of high-performance transparent polyamide; it allows immediate and accurate monitoring from any angle. Engineered to outperform and outlast traditional view ports, the material provides excellent resistance to impact, chemicals and UV light.
