Since 1973, Boyd Ag LLC, also known as Super Spray Booms, has been designing, manufacturing and selling spray booms and components for sprayer equipment used in the agricultural industry. The company this week announced a move to a new facility in Jarrell, Texas.

The previous facility was also located in Jarrell, but was leased and, according to company president Ron Boyd, was lacking the requisite electrical power to run the business.

The new facility will house a new laser cutting machine, a Bodor P3 12KW, as well as a plasma table the company uses for contract work. The land provides an additional seven acres for future growth, and Boyd has an option to purchase the building.

Boyd Ag and its sister companies employ more than 20 people and the company plans to expand in other related businesses.

The company supplies standard and custom aluminum booms and extensions for farmers and dealers who prefer U.S.-made, robust aluminum booms. The booms are lighter, yet capable of covering more area in the field.
