COLUMBIA, S.C. – Adeptus USA, a wood products manufacturer, yesterday announced a new $215.56 million factory in South Carolina that will create 217 new jobs.

The new facility, the Virginia-based company's first in the state, will be located in Honea Path, a small town in Anderson County about 28 miles south of Greenville.

The plant will manufacture value-added and processed pine wood products for building products and millwork applications. The company’s primary product offerings include painted and primed molding, boards, shiplap and a variety of panel products and grades.

Operations are scheduled to begin in Q2 2027. Human Technologies, Inc. (HTI), a Greenville staffing firm, will support Adeptus's hiring efforts during the startup phase, with employment opportunities posted as positions become available.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project. The council also awarded Anderson County a $850,000 Closing Fund grant to help cover the costs of building improvements.
