Webtec (Milwaukee, WI) has announced the launch of a brand new range of high pressure, precision gear flow meters rated up to 40 US gpm (150 lpm) for use on applications as diverse as hydraulic component leak testing, wind turbine lubrication monitoring and offshore diagnostic fault-finding. The GF series gear-type flow meters are suitable for precisely measuring medium to high-viscosity hydraulic and lubrication fluids, or in applications where the fluid viscosity can change substantially due to large variations in temperature, including test stands, machine tools and other fixed or mobile applications. They can be installed anywhere in the circuit for monitoring, production testing, commissioning, development testing and analysis of control systems. A built-in micro-controller linearizes and conditions the signal from the flow meter directly into a digital display, PLC or custom DAQ system without the need for complex calibration factors or lookup tables.
