Editor’s Pick: Temporary Water Control

An AquaDam can be turned to follow almost any conceivable installation path.

The AquaDam (Scotia, CA) is a lightweight flexible plastic tube that, when filled with water, transforms into a temporary water control structure. The range of applications for the AquaDam is very wide; almost any problem requiring large-scale control of water can be solved using an AquaDam. The patented design incorporates (2) watertight inner tubes, side by side, inside of a woven baffled outer tube, and an AquaDam can be turned to follow almost any conceivable installation path. They are made in standard heights from 1-ft to 16-ft tall, but there is no limit to the potential achievable height: the tallest dams so far were 28-ft tall, and controlled 17-ft of water depth.
