Chicago-based Golden Dragon Fortune Cookies is recalling Golden Dragon, Inc. Chinese Almond Cookies because it may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious allergic reaction. The cookies were distributed to retail stores and wholesalers throughout Chicago in five-pound boxes containing five, 100-count bags.

No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after it was discovered during an FDA inspection that the cookies were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of Milk. The product formula has been changed and milk is no longer used.
