A Costco poultry processing complex that has been under construction since 2017 will open in Fremont, Nebraska after Labor Day. Lincoln Premium Poultry intends to provide the warehouse retailer with upwards of two million chickens each week by the time all three shifts at the plant are up and running.
The multimillion-dollar plant will have around 500 employees hired by the opening. Once the first line is at full speed, the second and third lines will be opened.
