Stainless Steel ‘MCD’ Whirl Wet

The MCD Whirl Wet efficiently isolates particulate.

Tri Mer Sized

Tri-Mer Corp. (Owosso, MI) has introduced an all-stainless steel version of its popular "MCD" Whirl Wet dust collector. The MCD is a "modular conveyor drag-out" system that was engineered for facilities with high dust loadings, or that operate continuously. The MCD Whirl Wet efficiently isolates particulate. When collected dust reaches a set point, the collection module is "dragged out" and replaced with an empty collection module, allowing operation (also routine maintenance) to continue without interruption.

OSHA and NFPA mandates regarding explosive dust emissions have revived interest in wet collection technology. The Tri-Mer Whirl Wet dust collector is a proven, practical answer for collecting virtually all dusts over 1 micron, whether or not the dusts are volatile. The Whirl Wet is 95-99% efficient for soluble and insoluble particulate. Energy generated inside the unit will not allow the system to clog under any operating conditions, therefore, the agglomeration and sticky residues that are common with dry collectors are not an issue for the Whirl/Wet. The system is also unique in that it does not use common “high-maintenance” components, such as spray nozzles, pumps and dust bags.  Instead, the Whirl/Wet uses a unique process to create intense mixing of dust particles and water.
