The Last Pontiac Ever Built Met a Cruel Fate

A Redditor tracked it down.

The Pontiac brand officially rode off into the sunset more than a decade ago and made its last vehicle in 2009.

The last car to roll off the company’s lines was a white 2010 Pontiac G6 and now a Redditor has seemingly tracked it down.

According to The Drive, the G6 was a fleet vehicle that spent its first years as a rental in Hawaii.

From there it went to California where it was purchased and driven by its new owner for nearly 60,000 miles.

But, according to research done by u/kowalski-analy5is and some fellow Redditors, the car was totaled in 2015.

The next year, the vehicle sold for $450 at a salvage auction and was shipped to Mexico, which is where the records end.

It’s a rather unceremonious end for the last production vehicle from Pontiac, a brand that ran for 84 years before it was shuttered by GM.
