A new Reuters report says Honda Motor is cutting production by up to 30%.

Logistical problems and supply chain snags are forcing the automaker to scale back operations in Japan.

The company is reducing output on two lines in western Japan by 10% this month, increasing cuts to nearly 30% in August.

Another assembly plant north of Tokyo will start making cuts next month.

Honda previously adjusted production goals in May, but had hoped to return to normal by June.
