A new Reuters report says Honda Motor is cutting production by up to 30%.
Logistical problems and supply chain snags are forcing the automaker to scale back operations in Japan.
The company is reducing output on two lines in western Japan by 10% this month, increasing cuts to nearly 30% in August.
Another assembly plant north of Tokyo will start making cuts next month.
Honda previously adjusted production goals in May, but had hoped to return to normal by June.
