New Hire Shoots, Kills Co-Worker Over Bullying Claims

The shooter was on the job seven days.

A 30-year-old worker is dead after being shot by a co-worker at Precision Drawn Metals, a contract manufacturer in Janesville, Wisconsin.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was shot in the back by 23-year-old Kevin L. Todd. Todd had only worked at the company for seven days, and claimed that he was being bullied by co-workers. Employees and management at the shop, however, didn't support the shooter's claims.

When Todd began shooting, bullets ricocheted in the building and came close to striking other co-workers.

The shooting happened around 4:30 pm and co-workers performed CPR on the victim until paramedics arrived on the scene, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.

About 45 minutes after the shooting, authorities found Todd's car about 20 miles from the shop and, following a brief chase, the gunman was apprehended. Police found six guns, including the alleged murder weapon, in the suspect's car.

Todd faces potential charges of first-degree homicide and multiple counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
