Fisker Gets Order for 700 Vehicles

The new customer, which operates a subscription-based service, will be among the first to receive the Ocean electric SUV.

On May 18, Fisker announced a new partnership with U.K.-based electric car subscription service Onto.

The agreement calls for up to 700 vehicles to be delivered in 2023 and marks Fisker's first multi-vehicle reservation in the U.K.

Onto will receive Fisker's Ocean electric SUV, which starts at $37,499 and includes a solar sunroof as well as interior made from upcycled materials like old t-shirts.

Founded in 2017, Onto offers monthly subscriptions to new EVs with insurance, public charging and servicing included.

The company has more than 3,000 vehicles in operation with both private and commercial customers.

The Ocean SUV is being designed with left- and right-hand-drive versions.

Fisker claims to have more than 12,000 paid reservations for the Ocean.

The company plans to unveil the ocean at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2021, with production beginning in Q4 2022.
