Busch is Hiring a Dog Beer Tester

Man's best drinking buddy.

If you’re a dog and watching this, it’s highly likely that you’re unemployed. You probably spend your days lazing around the house or barking at cars through the window, and we don’t judge you a bit.

But outside of this standard dog role, there are the overachievers… those who work in critical applications within police forces, military, security, and - even - supporting the disabled.

Many of the jobs suitable for canines involve the use of a dog’s acute senses, like smell, but a new vacancy at the Anheuser-Busch company has a role for a dog that’s actually in product development.

Last year, Busch released Busch Dog Brew, an alcohol-free bone broth that sold out within 24 hours as pandemic-quarantined pet owners lost their minds. Now, the beverage company is looking to expand on the brand and needs the help of a dog for taste testing.

The role has been titled β€œChief Tasting Officer” and the candidate lucky enough to be hired will net a $20,000 salary, along with healthcare and free beer. Um… dog beer.

Interested parties can help their companions apply by posting a picture to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag BuschCTOContest, and detailing why they think their pooch is up for the challenge. Ideally, the dog can understand English and Busch says they also must have a refined palate and an outstanding sense of smell in order to fulfill duties like quality control and taste testing. Busch says the dog will also be a featured ambassador for the product.

So step away from the window, dogs, and start scrubbing the peanut butter out of your teeth. It’s your time to shine.
