Ferrero to Build $75M Chocolate Factory in Illinois

It will be Ferrero's first chocolate production plant in North America.

Ferrero North America, a division of Ferrero Group, plans to build a $75 million chocolate manufacturing center in Bloomington, Illinois.

The factory will be Ferrero's first chocolate production plant in North America.

It will produce chocolate for Crunch, 100Grand, SnoCaps, Raisinets, Goobers, Ferrero Rocher and other delicious confections.

The expansion project will add 70,000 square feet to Ferrero's current footprint in Bloomington.

Construction is set to begin in spring 2021 and the center will create about 50 jobs.

Over the last 18 months, Ferrero has expanded its North American headquarters in New Jersey, and opened new distribution centers in Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia.

Ferrero is a 70-year-old family-owned company.

It employs 3,000 workers across eight offices and ten plants and warehouses in North America.
