Mansfield, Texas-based Goodman Food Products recently announced the recall of approximately 34,400 pounds of fully cooked ground beef products that may be contaminated with pieces of hard, white plastic. The recall pertains to frozen, fully cooked ground beef patty and crumble items carrying the Don Lee Farms label.

These products were purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the National School Lunch Program, and shipped to locations in Maine and Connecticut. The problem was discovered after the company and the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Services received consumer complaints about hard, white plastic material found in the fully cooked ground beef products.
