DETROIT (AP) — Two teens and a 26-year-old man are charged in the thefts of new vehicles from a storage lot near a Fiat Chrysler assembly plant in Detroit.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old are expected to appear Tuesday in juvenile court. They face seven counts of larceny over $20,000, resisting police and malicious destruction of property.
Cortez Peterson was arraigned Saturday on receiving and concealing a motor vehicle and resisting police. He faces an Oct. 9 probable cause conference and Oct. 16 preliminary examination.
Police recovered at least eight vehicles taken Friday morning from the lot near Fiat Chrysler's Jefferson North plant. Four vehicles were taken earlier last week from the same lot that's used as a shipping yard for Fiat Chrysler vehicles and other brands.
