ASM Sensors

ASM Sensors (Elmhurst, IL) has introduced the new POSIROT PRAS6 non-contact analog angle sensor. The sensor measures angular displacement and position of rotating objects from 0° to 360° using magnetic Hall Technology. Additional features include:

  • Magnetic encoder technology that is contactless and solid state.
  • Resistance to shock and vibration.
  • A laser-welded stainless steel 1.4404 housing suited for hygiene-critical applications with intensive cleaning and sterilization processes.
  • A hermetically-sealed housing that is suitable for humid, wet and dirty applications — even underwater.  A protection class to IP69K.
  • The ability to be equipped with redundant electronics. Measurement ranges from 0°-15° to 0°-360° (in 15° increments).
  • Outputs available in 0.5-10 V, 0.5-4.5 V or 4-20 mA.
  • Resolution of ±0.3% (60°-360°) and ±0.1% (15°-45°).
  • A linearity specification of ±0.3% of full scale.
