Precision Spray & Coatings (Houston, TX) has announced the formal expansion of its shop capabilities to include spray and fuse coating services for industrial valve components.
The company is now applying Colmonoy 69 and Colmonoy 88 coatings to valve balls and seats, providing customers with an engineered surface solution for components exposed to demanding wear, erosion, corrosion and elevated-temperature service conditions.
Unlike conventional thermal spray applications, the spray and fuse process uses a controlled fusion step to create a metallurgical bond between the coating and the underlying substrate. This bond provides a durable coating interface designed for applications where adhesion, wear resistance and long-term component performance are critical.
Spray and fuse coatings can be particularly well suited for applications involving abrasive or erosive service, sliding or rotating wear, high-pressure valve operation, elevated temperatures, and corrosive environments. The technology can be used to restore dimensions up to .030” in thickness on worn components while also providing a hardened, wear-resistant surface.
Precision Spray & Coatings’ expanded capabilities are designed to support industries where valve reliability and component longevity are essential, including oil and gas, petrochemical processing, power generation, refining, chemical processing and other industrial applications.
