Fixtureworks
Fixtureworks (Fraser, MI) announced two pneumatic clamping locators AMWF-W and AMWF-L for fastening in a wide range of tooling, fixturing and assembly operations while reducing set up time for machine changeover.
Both versions are zero-point systems, which allows quick precise clamping.
Heavy-duty AMWF-W variety of pneumatic air flex clamping locators:
- Up to 6300 N clamping force
- High precision
- Straight or tapered pneumatic pin-type
- Paired with receivers for quick change of fixture or tools within 0.003 mm (3 microns) repeatability
- Air assistance eliminates set up time in frequent changeover of fixtures, plates and tooling on automation machinery
- Available in diameters of 70 to 85 mm
AMWF-W Ball locking pneumatic flex locators:
- Used in conjunction with AMWF-BU series flex locator receptacles (receivers) for locating and fastening
- Bushing/receiver, either tapered, straight or diamond-type is centered and clamped when three balls are pushed out for high locating repeatability
- When air pressure is applied, balls retract into pin
- Locating repeatability - 0.003 mm
- Available in diameters of 60 to 75 mm
AMWF-L ball locking pneumatic flex locator pins:
- Compact in size
- Used for lighter duty applications
- Clamping force to 350 N
- Used for locating and fastening in wide range of tooling, fixturing and assembly operations primarily when plates are mounted horizontally
- Bushing is centered and clamped when three balls are pushed out for high locating repeatability of 0.01 mm (10 microns)
- Available in diameters from 40 to 61 mm
AMWF-BU flex locator receptacles (receivers):
- Used with AMWF-L series ball locking pneumatic flex locator pins for locating and fastening in wide range of tooling, fixturing and assembly operations
- When air pressure is applied, balls retract into pin, allowing pin to be released from receptacle
- Available in diameters of 36 to 44 mm
