Elesa (Twinsburg, OH) introduces new ball and roller transfer units made from acetal-based technopolymer for easy handling and minimum required effort for material handling, particularly for sensitive or heavy goods.
To handle loads with delicate surfaces, Elesa offers ball transfer units with the main ball made from acetal-based technopolymer. For loads with sharp and angular surfaces, the Elesa units have balls made from stainless steel.
For ESD Protected Area (EPA) applications, Elesa offers ball transfer units in black ESD conductive special technopolymer to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charge, with the main ball made from stainless steel.
For applications on transfer and conveyor lines or end of production lines, Elesa offers roller transfer units with rollers in white acetal-based technopolymer. Models with rollers in soft technopolymer, in blue, are suitable to handle loads with particularly delicate surfaces such as glass and ceramics.
The central roller holder body, for both product types, is free to rotate with respect to the external body and allows linear and rotary movement.
Main advantages of these roller ball and roller transfer units include:
- Maximum cleanliness thanks to the self-lubricating technopolymer structure (no lubrication required)
- Maintenance-free
- Light weight
- Smooth finish
- Low coefficient of friction
- Corrosion resistant
- Resistant to dirt, dust and moisture
