Creform Corporation (Greer, SC) has designed and produced a cart that carries cylindrical-shaped molds for a health and safety equipment Fortune 500 manufacturer. In collaboration with Creform engineers, the cart provides the functionality that is needed during the manufacturing process and protects the molds from damage, while offering the ease of load/unload. Specifically:
- The cart, used for both tool storage and equipment setup, features seven shelves with eight storage positions per level.
- Each position features triangular-shaped dunnage to keep the cylindrical tooling centered, separated and protected each within its own dedicated compartment. There is access from two ends of the cart.
- The plastic shelves on the cart are designed to be removed and replaced without tools to accommodate various types and sizes of tooling.
- Each of the cart’s shelves can be repositioned or the whole cart customized with only simple tools.
