Omnitron Systems (Irvine, CA) has announced the launch of two new ultra-compact Single-Pair Ethernet T1L media converter/injector products.
The new OmniConverter Single-Pair Ethernet converters are IEEE 802.3cg compliant products that convert between standard 10Mbps 10BASE-T Ethernet and single-pair 10BASE-T1L Ethernet. The Single-Pair Ethernet (SPE) cabling enables Full Duplex over the Single-Pair 10Mbps Ethernet link to reach distance up to 1km.
Both the OmniConverter 10T/T1L and the 10TPS/T1L Converter models features one 2-pin terminal block 10BASE-T1L IEEE 802.3cg compliant port and one 10BASE-T RJ-45 Ethernet port supporting 10Mbps full duplex data rates.
The OmniConverter 10TPS/T1L Converter/Injector supports PoE+ IEEE 802.3at power injection through its 10BASE-T RJ-45 port.
The OmniConverter Single-Pair Ethernet converters achieve seamless Ethernet connectivity to IEEE 802.3cg compliant devices, such as field transmitters, building controllers or cameras.
The modules are plug-and-play devices that support 10Mbps data rates and full duplex for simple in-line installation to instantly extend network distances for industrial and in-building automation applications.
The converter/injector products are available as a standalone unit with or without integrated mounting brackets, and they can be DIN-rail mounted using the optional DIN-rail mounting clip kit (8252-0). Models are available with an external 100 to 240VAC power adapter or with a 2-Pin DC terminal connector.
