A New Mexico producer of barbecue sauces and spice rubs plans to shift manufacturing from a co-packing plant to its own facility in Lovington, state and company officials announced late last month.
TD’s Brew & BBQ is set to receive $150,000 in state funding and another $20,000 in city funds to expand its facility. The company expects to add 16 workers and generate more than $14 million in economic impact over the next decade, officials said.
The project is expected to be completed within five years.
TD’s owner and founder Tearl “TD” Dunlap established the company in 2019; officials said that its products are sold in more than 600 stores nationwide.
“This facility will serve as a critical manufacturing hub, bringing both our brands and out-of-state production directly into our community,” Dunlap said in the announcement. “We are proud to build this in Lovington & Southeast New Mexico, a region defined by a legacy of hardworking excellence and a standard of performance that we intend to uphold every single day.”
