Homemade Cheeses Recalled Over Health Risks

The voluntary recall was initiated after routine testing of finished products and the manufacturing environment detected the contamination.

West Pawlet, Vermont-based Bardwell Farm, LLC is recalling two-pound wheels of their Dorset raw milk cheese, two-pound wheels of Slyboro goat cheese, and 3/4-pound packages of Experience pasteurized cheese due to possible contamination from Listeria monocytogenes.

The products were distributed in California, Massachusetts, New York, Texas and Vermont. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products. The voluntary recall was initiated after routine testing of finished products and the manufacturing environment detected the contamination.
