Kellogg recently announced that they would be laying off 108 employees as it shutters the Atlanta facility by October. The move is part of the Project K cost-cutting program first announced last fall. The move is seen as a way to improve the efficiency of the company's frozen foods division.

The cost cutting measures hope to shed as much as $475 million annually in transitioning from direct store deliveries to warehouses. Kellogg recently made headlines for the $1.3 billion sale of its Keebler and Famous Amos brands to Ferrero.
