Ingredient Error Leads to Ice Cream Recall

A supplier error is being blamed.

Weis Markets has issued a recall for its Quality Banana Puddin Ice Cream due to a supplier error that led to the product’s ingredient label failing to list an egg allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume these products. There have been no reports of illness to date.

The product was sold in 200 Weis Markets’ stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and West Virginia in 48-ounce packages. Customers who have purchased this product may return it for a full refund.
