Chicken Salad Recalled For Listeria

A FSIS inspection confirmed the issue.

Hollywood, Florida-based Lean Culinary Services, LLC, is recalling approximately 223 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service made the announcement.

The RTE chicken salad items, which were packaged in containers ranging from 5.5 to 14.9 ounces, were produced on February 12 and shipped to retail locations in Florida. The problem was discovered on February 18 when FSIS inspection program personnel verified the status of product that had tested positive for listeria. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
