Pork Sausage Recalled for Rubber Pieces

FSIS made the announcement after being notified by the company.

Sandusky, OH-based J. H. Routh Packing Company is recalling approximately 1,719 pounds of raw pork sausage products that may be contaminated with rubber. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement after being notified by the company.

The raw ground pork bulk and link sausage items were produced from January 1-4, 2019. More specifically, the recall pertains to five-pound packages of Daisyfield-branded loose, large link, country-style rope and breakfast link pork and Italian-style sausage products.

These items were shipped to retail locations in Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
