Printing Plant to Close, 330 Jobs Lost

Half of the staff will be out of work in two months.

Based in Chanhassen, Minnesota, IWCO Direct is a direct mail marketing and mass printing company.

The company recently told the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that it would close its plant in Little Falls, Minnesota.

According to the Star Tribune, IWCO will lay off half of the plant's 330 employees on Nov. 1.

The remaining employees will stay on until Jan. 1, 2022.

IWCO said it is closing the plant because of "a change in business needs."

In June, the company announced a $50 million investment to "transform the company's technology and digital marketing capabilities."

The investment included new digital presses and hybrid inline printing technology.

The company apologized for the impact the closure will have on the community
