Cannoli Factory to Pay $105K After Wage Theft, Retaliation

Anyone who worked at the company for more than 90 days could get paid.

Golden Cannoli Shells Co., Inc. is a baked goods manufacturer in the Boston suburb of Chelsea, Mass.

Recently, the maker of cannolis reached a settlement with the state over four citations issued by the Attorney General.

Golden Cannoli is accused of failing to pay its workers for all the hours they worked.

They were also alleged to have failed to provide workers notice of their earned sick time, and to have fired those who asserted their rights.

The company will pay $105,000, including $80,000 in wage restitution.

Anyone who worked for Golden Cannoli for more than 90 days between January 2018 and December 2020 may be eligible for compensation.

According to the company’s website, Golden Cannoli Shells Co. holds the record for the world’s largest cannolo (the singular of cannoli).
