Police recently pulled over an Illinois man driving 82 mph on I-94 south of Milwaukee.
After the individual failed to respond to the police vehicle’s lights and sirens for about two miles, the deputy drove alongside him.
It was at this time that the police officer noticed the man had his head down and was not looking at the road – he appeared to be sleeping.
The man then woke up and pulled over. He claimed to be "a little bit tired" but denied being asleep.
The deputy reprimanded the driver by telling him that while he understood that the 2019 Tesla had Autopilot, he would not have able to make quick decisions to avoid an accident.
He was issued a traffic citation for inattentive driving.
