The makers of Lysol have teamed up with Delta on R&D relating to disinfecting strategies.
Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc will work with the airline to study high traffic areas in airports and on board planes, especially airplane lavatories.
According to Reuters, Delta will use and distribute Lysol disinfectant spray and wipes.
They will also work with the chemical manufacturer’s microbiologists on better protocols for workers and passengers.
With a reputation for having germy surfaces, airlines have to ease the minds of those currently too risk-averse to travel.
According to a 2018 report, the dirtiest places on an airplane are head rests, seat pockets, seat belts, washroom handles and tray tables.
