Sigma Labs (Santa Fe, NM) recently unveiled Version 3.0.2 of its PrintRite3D INSPECT In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) software. Features of the update include:
- The new and proprietary Thermal Energy Density In Process Quality Metric for quantitatively measuring melt pool and part quality.
- Enhanced Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE), metallography and destructive test results.
- The ability to produce an alloy-specific process map for quicker process qualification, which Sigma Labs believes will result in increased production yields and faster time-to-market.
- A complete production-level package of statistical process control (SPC) software apps, which digitally supports serial production quality monitoring at a build, part, layer or scan level to ensure continuous operation within the processing window.
