JetZero today announced the closing of a senior secured term loan facility of up to $100 million. The company is building the Z4 all-wing airplane, which is designed to carry about 250 passenger capacity for up to 5,000 nautical mile range while cutting fuel burn and emissions by up to 50% relative to conventional tube-and-wing aircraft at the same passenger capacity.
The company said proceeds will go towards the acceleration of technology maturation, Demonstrator Jet1 manufacturing and buildout of its U.S. manufacturing and test facilities in Greensboro, North Carolina.

JetZero CEO Tom O'Leary said the money will fund tooling and production facilities for the Z4, which is expected to enter service in the early 2030s.
The cash influx comes approximately two months after JetZero broke ground on its first manufacturing and final assembly campus, an 8-million-square-foot factory on more than 600 acres. The project, supported by the largest ever State-level incentive package for any startup of any industry, will be home to production of JetZero’s next-generation aircraft and will create 14,500 jobs over the next 10 years, the company said.
But in the meantime, JetZero continues to advance the build of Jet1, its full-scale demonstrator, with Scaled Composites, a Northrop Grumman company. The build was 40 percent complete as of June 2026, with its first flight scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.
