Electric bike manufacturer Hi Power Cycles (HPC) said it will go after federal, state, and local government markets with its newly established defense division and the rollout of the Revolution W, a military-grade e-bike the company said is capable of speeds up to 80 MPH.
The company said the Revolution W, which is manufactured and assembled in the USA, offers a hand-crafted frame, unique lighting systems and computerized screen and controls. It also features suspension for a smoother ride on all terrains, which is important since the company said the bike is capable of producing 10,500 watts along with 280Nm maximum torque. The company is claiming the Revolution W is the fastest factory e-bike ever made and it's pitching it as a quick and reliable mode of transportation for hostile environments.

Tapped to lead Hi Power's new defense effort as Advisor & Interim President/CEO is Bryan Maizlish, who formerly held leadership positions within divisions at Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman/TASC, Jacobs Engineering, and, most recently at Human Security.
He said Hi Power's e-bikes have been field tested in extreme weather, steep, and rugged conditions, which makes them a good option for law enforcement, municipalities, federal agencies, military and defense entities, and fire and first responders seeking cost-effective and lightweight transportation.
HPC Defense has already closed contracts with government agencies, and Maizlich expects expansive growth at the company so it can fully support the requirements and needs of its government partners.
