Airbus Lands Big Order for Army Helicopters

The chopper is used for everything from border security and disaster response, to border security and reconnaissance

 

The Airbus plant in Columbus, Mississippi just received a $122.6 million order from the Army. The contract calls for 15 UH-72 Lakota light utility helicopters. 

The twin-engine helicopter has a four-bladed main rotor. It's a militarized version of the EC145 rotorcraft.

Medical Evacuation

Airbus expects to have the multi-mission helicopters completed by August 31, 2022.
