Canned beverage manufacturer DrinkPAK plans to establish a new production facility in Philadelphia, state and company officials announced this month.

The co-packing company expects to invest $195 million in the new facility, which is slated to join its other locations in Santa Clarita, California, and Fort Worth, Texas, in early 2027.

The leased 1.4 million-square-foot facility on the city’s south side will be DrinkPAK’s flagship facility on the East Coast. It is expected to create 174 jobs.

“Our 1.4 million-square-foot Philadelphia location will continue to solidify DrinkPAK’s position as North America’s premier canned beverage manufacturer, with the ability to service our clients with any drink, any can, any format, and now, in any location,” DrinkPAK CEO Nate Patena said in a statement.

State economic development officials plan to provide $2 million in grant funding to support the project. DrinkPAK is also eligible to apply for the state's manufacturing tax credit program.
