Keystone Medical Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of custom tubing solutions for the medical device industry, recently announced the opening of a new facility in Chattanooga, Tenn., dedicated to fabricating filmcast tubing.
The new facility focuses on the production of filmcast tubing including polyimide and PTFE, with in-house capabilities such as PTFE etching. Relocating filmcast tubing fabrication to Chattanooga has enabled Keystone to expand capacity for extruded tubing production at its Somerset, Wis., site. Plans are underway for addi;onal extrusion lines in early 2024. The addition of the new facility doubles Keystone’s total footprint.
“As medical devices have gotten smaller, we’ve seen increased demand for smaller-diameter tubing and filmcast products,” said Adam Sutton, founder and CEO of Keystone. “Our new facility leverages the polyimide expertise in Chattanooga and enables us to deliver increased capacity and shorter lead times for our customers.”
