Prefab home maker, Connect Homes, last week announced a new factory in Mesa, Arizona in Q1 of next year. The factory will be the company's second and expand its footprint into the Mountain West region.

Connected Homes was launched in 2012 to make modern, precisely-engineered modular housing solutions. The company currently operates out of a factory in California.
Connect Homes designs, manufactures, delivers and installs single-family homes and other housing solutions across the U.S. The company's patented steel-frame modular system makes it possible to build architect-designed homes, semi-custom homes, multi-unit communities and shelters, faster and more affordably than traditional construction, according to the company.
According to company CEO Deborah Casper, Connect Homes' San Bernardino factory has reached is at capacity, prompting the new factory in Mesa, which is about three times larger.
The new factory will be able to manufacture up to 5,000 square feet of housing per week and will create more than 90 jobs.
Since 2012, the company has delivered 122 homes and built 37 ADU's in California.
