Niagara Systems, Mentor, Ohio-based manufacturer of industrial parts washer and automation equipment, is set to begin work on a significant expansion.
Founded in 1934, Niagara, a division of South Shore Controls, has experienced steady sales growth and is actively designing and producing several large automation production lines that can integrate with its industrial washing systems.
The investment will add some 15,000 square feet to the company's 35,000-sq-ft facility, which is about four years old.

The company is currently working on more than $12 million in custom wash systems and automated systems while concurrently growing their backlog. Niagara's systems are used in multiple industries, including automotive, oil & gas, food processing and pharmaceutical.
According to owner and CEO Joe Katic, Niagara is more than a washer company. "Washing is an area of expertise for us, but our ability to design and build custom machinery and integrate with other automation gives us the opportunity to provide a more complete solution to our customers," he said in a statement. "More solutions, means we need more space."
Niagara plans to introduce more than ten new industrial parts washing products by the end of 2023.
