In 1974 Panasonic Electric Works Corporation of America, formerly Aromat was established as a 100% subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. "MEW". Since then we have emerged as a supplier of choice in the electronic components and device industries. The principles and aspirations of Konosuke Matsushita, the world-renowned industrialist who founded both MEW and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd guide our operations to this day.   • 1918 - Konosuke Matsushita established Matsushita Electric Housewares Manufacturing started manufacturing and sale of wiring devices
  • 1935 - Matsushita Electric Co., LTD established as one of Matsushita’s divisional companies. Manufactured and sold wiring devices, synthetic resins and conduits tubes

  • 2005 - Renamed as Panasonic Electric Works Corporation of America. Renamed as Panasonic Electric Works Canada, Inc.  Renamed as Panasonic Electric Works Mexicana
