Anti-Seize Technology (Franklin Park, IL) has announced the release of its marine grade non-metallic compound as a responsible alternative to products containing lead, chromates, metallic zinc, copper, heavy metals or other marine pollutants. The marine grade non-metallic compound is a semi-synthetic high viscosity grease designed for maximum protection on parts that are exposed to extreme and harsh conditions. With its high solid content, the compound packs the voids in threaded assemblies providing a protective physical barrier to prevent seizing or galling of part connections.
The marine grade compound is particularly useful with nuts, bolts, flanges and other assemblies which are subject to harsh conditions and must be disassembled later with ease. It can be used up to temperatures in excess of 2,400 F, and meets performance requirements of ABS and MIL-PRF-907F.
