Capacitive Level Sensor Simulator

Highland Sized

Highland Technology (San Francisco, CA) has announced a new member to its line of precision aerospace sensor simulators. The Model P330 can simulate capacitive oil or fuel level sensors. Four independent isolated channels can each simulate both capacitance and resistance, from 5 pF to 5000 pF and 5K ohms to over 10 Megs. The architecture also supports simulation of two tank level sensors with reference electrodes, and provides sensor/cable fault simulation.

The P330 allows glitch-free level simulation to 1% accuracy with 16-bit resolution on capacitance and resistance. The P330 also reports sensor excitation voltage and frequency and includes built-in self-test; interfaces include Ethernet and USB.
