Tormach (Madison, WI) introduced the upgraded 770MX CNC mill for high-performance machining in compact footprints. The 770MX is designed for faster motion, increased spindle power and repeatable precision and can be used in machine shops, research labs, educational workspaces and manufacturing facilities.

The 770MX CNC mill provides a high-speed automated machining solution for precision metalworking and prototyping using the EtherCAT-based control platform standard.

Features:

  • Advanced EtherCAT motion system for spindle and axes, providing faster, more responsive movement and integrated feedback
  • Delivers 2 hp continuous power and 4.5 hp peak intermittent power while maintaining ability to run on standard single-phase power
  • Reduces cycle times with maximum feed rates of 450 IPM in X and Y and 420 IPM in Z
  • Includes a 21.5-inch touchscreen operator console as standard, featuring built-in load meters for real-time monitoring of spindle and axis stress

The 770MX is available in two default configurations:

  • Factory-assembled option that includes automatic tool changer and flood coolant system
