
Recently, STMicroelectronics (GENEVA, SWITZERLAND) introduced two new automotive NFC readers, the ST25R500 and ST25R501, as part of its ST25R portfolio. These components are designed for digital key, device pairing, engine start, and wireless charging NFC card protection applications in vehicles.
The ST25R500 and ST25R501 provide solutions for car access and start systems, NFC card protection on center-console Qi chargers, phone pairing, and data transfer.

The ST25R500 and ST25R501 are AEC-Q100 qualified and compliant with NFC Forum CR13 and CCC Digital Key requirements. These readers are suitable for various automotive applications including digital key systems, center consoles, doorhandle and B-pillar modules, and key fob charging setups.
