5 Minutes With ID: New ISA President Breen Talks Industry's Vibe, 2022 Convention & More

Brendan Breen, who was just promoted to the role of ISA president on Jan. 4, stops by to chat about the general state of the industrial supply market and preview the first in-person ISA convention since 2019.

The Industrial Supply Association was one of the first industrial groups to have to suddenly reconfigure its convention to a virtual format in the spring of 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic first took off across the US.

But as we begin 2022, ISA is looking forward to being back in-person for ISA 22 in Houston this upcoming April 11th-13th. Besides that, ISA launched its educational video offering, The Channel during 2020, and the current version 2.0 is packed with great content for industrial distributors and suppliers.

ISA held its 2021 Women in Industry Summit in late October, hosting over 300 professional women in this industry in a virtual format that focused on advancing the development, influence, and inclusion of women of all levels within the channel.

Meanwhile, ISA has just undergone a leadership transition, as President and CEO Ed Gerber has moved on from the association after leading it for 5 years, and ISA just announced Jan. 4 the promotion of Brendan Breen to the role of President. He was serving as ISA's executive vice president following Gerberg's departure.

In this episode, Breen was kind enough to stop by and discuss what the current industry vibe is among ISA members, a look forward to the ISA Convention in April and what else the group has been up to lately.
