TechnoCompound (Bad Sobernheim, Germany) introduced a new line of sustainable thermoplastic compounds for electrical and electronic components, mobility and automotive subsystems. The new material portfolio is designed for electromagnetic (EMC) shielding, high-tracking resistance, halogen-free UL94 V-0 flame retardancy and incorporating recycled polymer matrices. It can be used in automotive e-mobility components, front-end modules, thin-walled electronic housings and automotive interiors.
TechnoDur PBT GF 7 1 HFFR V0 meets the requirements for filling the mold for this support structure for automatic sliding doors despite the long flow paths, while simultaneously fulfilling the requirements for flame retardancy and stiffness.TechnoCompound
Features:
- AbsorbXX Electromagnetic Shielding: Carbon fiber and carbon black-reinforced PA6 and recycled PP compounds that deliver up to 55 dB EMC shielding effectiveness at frequencies from 30 MHz to 1.5 GHz and beyond as lightweight metal alternatives
- TechnoMid GF 30 2 MH H High Tracking Resistance: Formulated with 75% recycled PA matrix and 30 wt.% short glass fibers, achieving Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) value of 600 V (Group 1) and continuous operating temperatures up to 150 °C
- TechnoDur PBT GF 7 1 HFFR V0 Halogen-Free Flame Retardancy: Polybutylene terephthalate compound with 7 wt.% short glass fibers that achieves UL94 V-0 flammability class at 0.4 mm with high melt flowability for thin-walled parts
- PA6 Easy Flow & PP LGF Interior Grades: Features high-flow PA6 grades for injection molding front-end modules, sustainable long glass fiber (PP LGF) grades for interiors and laser-markable, creep-resistant PP compounds
- PS ESD Conductive Compounds: Electrically conductive and electrostatically dissipative polystyrene compounds designed for extrusion and injection molding to protect sensitive electronics against electrostatic discharge
