The recall was initiated after the FDA confirmed the presence of Salmonella in products distributed to retail locations in northern California.

House of Spices, which is based out of India, is recalling lots of MDH Sambar Masala distributed in 3.5-ounce boxes. This product tested positive for Salmonella by the FDA through a certified laboratory.
