Listeria Triggers Hummus and Dip Recall

The contamination was found at the company's manufacturing facility during an FDA inspection.

Houston, Texas-based Pita Pal Foods, LP has issued a voluntary recall of hummus products made between May 30 and June 25 due to concerns over Listeria monocytogenes. The contamination was found at the company's manufacturing facility, but not in the finished product, during an FDA inspection.

The recalled products were distributed nationwide under the Bucee's, Fresh Thyme, Harris Teeter, Lantana, Lidl, Pita Pal, Reasor's, Roundy's, Schnuck's and 7-Select brands.
